There is a Chinese proverb which says: “when the winds of change blow, some build shelters while others build windmills.” At Munkplast AB, we have built (metaphorical) windmills for more than 60 years and we have no plan of stopping. Our history
Munkplast AB has manufactured Swedish high-quality plastic products for consumers and industries since 1958. Since 1996, both the office and factory have been located in Uppsala, Sweden, a small town just north of Stockholm which is well-known for its vibrant research community. Following an initiative by Swedish researchers to develop a novel breath sampling device, Munkplast was approached for help with bringing the idea to life in the early 2010’s. Since then, we have continued the development of what is now Breath Explor, in close collaboration with some of the most respected names within toxicology, clinical neuroscience, respiratory pharmacology, robotics, and accredited laboratories. We are proud to be able to provide a drug-testing solution which is solidly founded on innovation, expertise, and quality materials.
Our vision
At Munkplast AB, we are committed to constant improvement. We believe that this is achieved through employee growth and by delivering truly excellent, out-of-the-box products and solutions together with inspiring partners. Every step of the making of our products needs to be able to pass close scrutiny from an engineering, ethical, and a scientific perspective. Because of this, we would never consider moving our production to a corner of the world where worker safety is compromised, changing to less-than-excellent materials, or turning a blind eye to potential challenges. We follow the development of the world and adapt with it, without taking cheap shortcuts.
